Laurie Daniel is the owner
and primary midwife for all her dogs. She is a strong advocate for the
rights of dogs raised in kennels and she sits on several boards dealing with
the care and breeding of dogs commercially. She invites and insists on
annual visits by the AKC and the USDA. She is proud of the fact that they
invariably compliment her on the professional way she runs her kennel. They
compare Bois D’Arc Kennel favorably to other well-run major kennels in the
USA.
Laurie cares about all her
dogs and seeks to place her puppies in good homes. As a result, she does not
sell her dogs to brokers or pet stores. She sells only to individuals with
whom she spends considerable time at the time of adoption. Laurie personally
instructs new owners in the proper care of their new puppy. She also
provides a puppy pack with all the important items an owner will need
immediately. Tours of the kennel are available on request. Laurie is always
immensely pleased to hear from families who adopt her puppies and papers a
portion of her offices with their pictures.
